Frequently Asked Questions

The new ENFit connector has been designed to reduce misconnections between unrelated delivery systems (e.g. vascular, respiratory and epidural). ENFit (ISO 80369-3) will replace the current luer connector system. With increasing patient movement between countries, a single global solution is required to ensure patient safety and prevent connection incompatibility or possible misconnections. The new ENFit connector will be phased in on all enteral device connectors including administration sets, feeding tubes and enteral syringes.
